WARBIRD TRAINING

Flying a piece of history

If you have ever wondered what it is like to learn to fly a warbird then you have come to the right place. Hazair can offer you training custom tailored to your needs and ambitions for flying a piece of aviation history. With one of Australia’s most experienced warbird pilots guiding you through the process you will be in safe hands.
Start off flying in a basic tailwheel trainer the Dehavilland DHC-1 Chipmunk just as they would have during the war and progress through the ranks to build up your skills.
From primary trainer you can make the leap into intermediate and then finally advanced trainer. With access to a T6 (Harvard) often regarded as the “pilot maker” and a fantastic testing ground for anyone with ambitions to fly any other tailwheel warbird, Hazair is a one stop shop for warbird training.

Improve your skills and career prospects

Having gained experience in tailwheel aircraft and warbirds, gives you critical skills required in various aircraft and aviation situations. Not only is this an amazing opportunity to gain some insight into the challenges and skills required to fly warbirds, it also gives you skills that will make you a better pilot as a whole and add depth to your flying repertoire.

The fighter progression

Hazair has various contacts within the warbird scene to allow a progression into a two seat fighter. Rarely do people get the chance to progress from a basic trainer through to a fully fledged piston fighter however at Hazair we have the knowledge and contacts to make this dream a reality for those that are interested. If you have ever wanted to take a ride along in some of the most iconic aircraft of WWII this is your chance as you get to watch and learn from an experienced pilot while enjoying the thrill and exhilaration that only a true fighter can provide.
